Who am I?
I’ve always enjoyed photography from behind the camera, but never being in front of it. Certainly not a fan of a selfie :-)
I bought my first DSLR in 1998 after undertaking an incredible safari and realising the limitations of my ‘point and shoot’ Life interfered with my photographic journey which really only became serious about 3 years ago. I now use a Nikon full Frame Mirrorless camera.
I don't limit myself to one particular genre of photography (well not yet anyway) preferring to say that I’m an observational photographer constantly on the look-out for an interesting image.
I joined the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) about 18 months ago and and recently gained the RPS Licentiate distinction, so now, am Barbara Vicary LRPS. I am about to embark on the next stage of RPS qualifications and work towards gaining an Associate Distinction.
I hope you enjoy what you see and come back regularly to see what’s changed. I’d welcome any comments.
